Xinji is about 65 km east of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, 250 km south of both Beijing and Tianjin, and 70 km away from Shijiazhuang Airport.

Started in Ming Dynasty and prospered in Qing Dynasty, Xinji leather is entitled with the honorary title of “Xinji fur is the best under heaven”. Xinji is crowned with the honorary reputation of “Capital of Leather and Fur Clothing Producing in China” by China Light Industry Federation and China Leather Industry Association and with the “Demonstration Base of China Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading” by the Ministry of Commerce. The tanning process is as technically advanced as anything else in the world leather industry and clothing industry has taken a national leading position.
